The Collector
Yanni grew up in a Greek household where wine was part of hospitality. Every gathering had a bottle on the table. After training at the Ritz-Carlton, he opened Yanni’s Bar & Grill in Scripps Ranch with his wife Denise in 2002. The cellar started small and has grown with the restaurant.
The Collection
Yanni chooses wines to serve with the food, along with bottles to set aside and age. Greek and Mediterranean producers get particular love. The collection also includes Heitz, Hundred Acre, Sassicaia, and Penfold’s Grange, plus YB&G, Yanni’s own label from Fallbrook Winery.
