Expect dense black currant, dark cherry, graphite, cedar, dried herb, and refined oak spice with full body and structured tannins. The 2010 vintage was cooler and more elegant; 2012 was excellent and balanced; 2015 was warm and concentrated. All three vintages have aging potential.

The producer

Anakota is the Knights Valley single-vineyard Cabernet project from the Jackson Family / Pierre Seillan Vérité team. Helena Dakota is one of two specific block bottlings (paired with Helena Montana). Pierre Seillan is the Bordeaux-trained winemaker behind Vérité, also part of the Jackson Family portfolio.
