The producer

Bodegas Alto Moncayo is a Campo de Borja producer focused on old-vine Garnacha. The estate works with consultant Chris Ringland (the renowned Australian Shiraz maker), and Aquilón is its flagship single-vineyard old-vine Garnacha — produced in tiny quantities from the oldest vines.

What critics say

Aquilón consistently receives scores in the high-90s and occasional 100-point scores from Robert Parker / Wine Advocate, and is regarded as one of Spain's most prestigious modern Garnachas.
