Expect red and dark cherry, raspberry, dried herb, forest floor, and savory mineral notes with medium body, structured tannins, and bright acidity. The 2012 Oregon vintage was excellent and age-worthy; 2015 was warm and ripe. At 10–13 years from vintage, both should be drinking well in a balanced window.

The producer
Brick House Vineyards was founded in 1990 by Doug Tunnell, a former CBS News correspondent. The estate is in Ribbon Ridge and was one of the early Oregon adopters of biodynamic farming. Evelyn's is one of Brick House's named single-vineyard or block bottlings.
