Expect ripe dark cherry, black raspberry, baking spice, vanilla, and a touch of forest floor with medium-to-full body, silky tannins, and bright acidity. The 2017 California vintage was warm with some heat challenges; 2021 was excellent.

The producer
DuMOL was founded in 1996 with winemaker Andy Smith leading the program for many years. The estate produces highly regarded Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Syrah from cool-climate Russian River Valley sites. Wester Reach is the flagship Russian River Valley Pinot bottling.
