The producer
Kosta Browne was founded in 1997 by Dan Kosta and Michael Browne, two restaurant industry veterans, and quickly became one of California's most acclaimed cult Pinot Noir producers. Wine Spectator named the 2009 Sonoma Coast its Wine of the Year — only the second time a Pinot Noir held that title.
What critics say
Kosta Browne Pinots consistently receive scores in the mid- to high-90s from major critics and have a deep collector following. The Sta. Rita Hills appellation bottling is regarded as a benchmark of the AVA.
