Expect dense black currant, blueberry, dark chocolate, espresso, vanilla, and graphite with full body, ripe but structured tannins, and a long, oak-framed finish. The 2021 vintage in Paso Robles was excellent — balanced and concentrated.

The producer
Daou Vineyards was founded by brothers Daniel and Georges Daou in 2007 in the Adelaida District of Paso Robles, on a high-elevation, limestone-rich hilltop. Patrimony is the estate's flagship luxury bottling, produced in small quantities from the most prized blocks.

Patrimony has received numerous high-90s and 100-point scores from major critics including Robert Parker / Wine Advocate, and is regularly cited as one of the top Cabernets coming out of Paso Robles.
