The producer

Bodegas Muga was founded in 1932 and is one of the most respected family-owned Rioja producers. Prado Enea is the estate's flagship Gran Reserva, produced only in vintages deemed worthy and aged for extended periods (typically 12 months in tank, 36 months in oak, and 36+ months in bottle). The estate maintains an in-house cooperage — rare among modern wineries.

What critics say

Prado Enea consistently receives scores in the mid- to high-90s from major critics and is widely regarded as one of Rioja's top Gran Reservas.
