Produttori’s classic Barbaresco blends its growers’ Nebbiolo rather than spotlighting a single cru. The 2019 is fragrant with cherry, rose and thyme, then turns savory on the palate. Fine structure and fresh fruit keep the wine poised; its appeal is aromatic precision as much as power.

The producer
Founded in 1958 when Don Fiorino Marengo gathered nineteen growers, Produttori del Barbaresco now unites more than fifty member families and 120 hectares of Nebbiolo. Members deliver only their own Nebbiolo; the cellar follows long macerations and large-cask ageing, keeping intervention restrained and each vineyard’s origin legible.
What critics say
Wine Enthusiast’s Jeff Porter rated Produttori’s 2019 Barbaresco 95 points. He found fresh cherry, wild thyme and rose petals, followed by crushed raspberry, savory spice and turned earth on an elegant palate, finishing poised and built for long cellaring.
