The producer
Mastroberardino is one of southern Italy's most historically important wineries, founded in 1878 and credited with preserving Campania's indigenous grape varieties — Fiano, Greco, Aglianico — when many growers were ripping them out for international varieties. The estate also led the Villa dei Misteri archaeological winemaking project at Pompeii.
