The producer
San Felice is a historic Tuscan estate based in the Castelnuovo Berardenga area of Chianti Classico. Vigorello is one of the original Super Tuscans — first produced in 1968, it predates many of the more famous Super Tuscan labels and was among the first Tuscan wines to use Cabernet Sauvignon. San Felice has also been a leader in researching and reintroducing indigenous Tuscan grape varieties.
What critics say
Vigorello receives consistently strong reviews and is respected as one of the longest-running Super Tuscans, with scores typically in the low- to mid-90s.
