Aged extended periods in new American oak, Meshach typically shows blackberry, plum, dark chocolate, vanilla, and warming spice with full body and ripe tannins. At over 20 years of age, the 2001 should be in a mature drinking window with secondary notes of leather and dried fruit emerging.

Meshach is the estate's flagship Shiraz, named for one of three biblical figures from the Book of Daniel — Grant Burge also produces a Shadrach Cabernet.
