The producer
Penfolds Grange (Bin 95 is its bin designation) is Australia's most famous and historically important wine. Created by winemaker Max Schubert in 1951, the wine was initially controversial and produced "secretly" for several vintages. Grange is a multi-region blend specifically designed for extended aging and is widely regarded as one of the world's great wines. Now part of Treasury Wine Estates.
What critics say
Grange consistently receives scores in the high-90s from major critics, has multiple Wine Spectator Wine of the Year selections, and is one of the most collected and historically important wines globally.
