The producer
Tenuta Luce produces both the famous Luce IGT (a Sangiovese-Merlot Super Tuscan blend, originally a Frescobaldi-Mondavi partnership) and a separately bottled Brunello di Montalcino. The estate is in Montalcino with vineyards that span both designations. Now part of the Frescobaldi portfolio.
What critics say
Luce Brunello receives consistently strong reviews as a polished, modern-styled Brunello, with scores often in the mid-90s.
