Expect ripe dark cherry, raspberry, baking spice, vanilla, and a touch of forest floor with medium-to-full body, silky tannins, and bright acidity. The 2021 California vintage was excellent.

The producer
Three Sticks Wines was founded by Bill Price (the "Three Sticks" nickname comes from his initials forming three vertical lines). The estate produces Pinot Noir and Chardonnay primarily from Sonoma County, with vineyards in Durell, Gap's Crown, and other notable sites. Bob Cabral, formerly of Williams Selyem, has served as winemaker.
What critics say
Three Sticks Pinots receive consistently strong reviews, often in the mid-90s, as polished and balanced expressions of top Sonoma sites.
