The producer
Tor Calvano is a producer in Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. The DOCG is one of Tuscany's three "noble" Sangiovese-based appellations alongside Brunello di Montalcino and Chianti Classico. Vino Nobile is often described as stylistically between Brunello and Chianti — more structured than Chianti, less powerful than Brunello.
What critics say
Tor Calvano wines receive consistently solid reviews as benchmark Vino Nobile expressions.
